Mellishaw Lane Scheme Highly Commended

Pinington are proud to announce that the scheme undertaken at Mellishaw Lane for Lancaster City Council has been highly commended at the UK Housing Awards 2024.

The UK Housing Awards are a platform to showcase success and new ideas and spread learning across the social housing sector in the UK. The awards, now in their 27th year, are about identifying the social landlords, charities, and partners, who work with their communities to deliver great outcomes for tenants and residents. Judged by experts from individual fields they are designed not just to celebrate success, but to help other landlords learn from it and replicate it, helping to improve services across the sector.

Jo Wilkinson, Chief Officer for Housing and Property at Lancaster City Council said after fining out about the nomination “Lancaster City Council has been shortlisted for our work transforming our traveller site. Proud to have been on this journey with our residents, staff, and fantastic local contractors. This is local government at its best showing that we know and care about local residents. Fingers crossed 🤞 for all those nominated.”

Everyone at Pinington are extremely proud that a scheme we were involved in has got such prestigious recognition at a national awards level and again pass on thanks to the team involved, well done to all!!
