For over 75 years Pinington have established strong ethical and moral standards in the values of sustainable development. We are especially driven by our decisions on the collective consequences of our activities in the pursuit of healthy business growth. We believe our reputation together with the trust, honesty and confidence of those whom we have dealt with to be one of our most valuable assets.
From the beginning of every project, we make a point of building relationships with all of our project neighbours, keeping them fully updated with all activity on site. All work is constantly monitored to ensure that noise levels are kept as low as possible and waste is disposed of carefully and considerately.
We welcome involvement from the community at large and encourage neighbours, schools and any other interested parties to make an appointment for a site visit where we will show them how we work and what is happening on site.
2020 saw Pinington launched our first Christmas Card Competition for the local Primary schools, with prizes for all children that entered and the winner’s card being showcased on our website. Over the years this has been a huge success and Pinington have loved involving children from the local community and seeing their creativity! Pinington now hold an annual Christmas Card Competition with a different theme each year.
In the summer of 2026 Pinington completed the NHS Bereavement Willow Suite at the Maternity Unit in the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. As part of our charitable commitment to the project, we designed and installed a new decking and seating area for the outdoor Willow Suite. This tranquil space has been created to provide families with a peaceful environment where they can grieve, reflect, and spend precious moments together in privacy.
In may 2026, Managing Director, Thomas Pinington, led a family fundraising team around the challenging Ullswater Way 21.5 Mile Trail Run, raising more than £6,500 for the North West Air Ambulance Charity in memory of his sister, Rachel Pinington.
In 2025-26 season Pinington were proud to be part of the journey with Lancaster City Football Club, supporting our local team competing in the Northern Premier League
In December 2025 we invited a class from Caton St Paul’s on Moorside Road to take part in a Christmas card competition, as the school is just down the road from the new Passivhaus we completed this year. The children have seen the site turned from a field into a house and the detail and creativity of the drawings blew us away!
In December 2025 Pinington donated to the Morecambe Toad School SEN Outdoor activity Charity. We were truly overwhelmed hearing about the incredible work carried out by the dedicated staff and volunteers at Morecambe Road Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. Their commitment to supporting children from primary age through to college is genuinely inspiring.
Pinington proudly sponsors various sports teams, including Lune Valley Football Club, Kendal Rugby Team, Brinscall Blue Juniors, and Carnforth Otters. Our commitment to support extends into 2025.
Additionally, during Easter, we visited the Royal Lancaster Infirmary to share joy with the Children’s Ward by donating Easter Eggs. We also visited Derian House Children’s Hospice at Christmas in 2024 and donated gifts for the children and young adults that use the fantastic facilities.
In 2023, Pinington made a generous donation to our local food bank on Skerton that Providing a social space and hot food for those that need it the most. We were overwhelmed by the amazing people when we visited our local charity “Food For Thought Lancaster” at the Fathers House.

Pinington donated a new pergola and platers at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary in 2023, following the completion of the new courtyard infill project of a two storey modular building to assists patients recovering and rehabilitation following a stroke
As part of our ongoing work at Westmorland General Hospital in 2023, Pinington made a charitable donation, working with the Patient Experience team to fully fit out the new café that is currently run by local volunteers.
As part of a refurbishment scheme within the Emergency Department at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Pinington Limited provided an inclusive and interactive waiting area for children who are attending the emergency department along with decorative wall graphics within the treatment room to provide a more relaxing and calmer environment for any treatments or procedures that are required. Pinington also donated £1,000.00 to the Neonatal Unit at Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
