Tom Pinington

Managing Director

As of March 2017 Tom Pinington was appointed the New Managing Director of Pinington Ltd due to the untimely passing of Mark Ayrton the MD of the company at the time.

This has seen Tom’s role within the company change, he is now the MD of the company as well as having full control of all Mechanical and Electrical service operations. Tom started his career as an apprentice electrician working for one of the North West largest electrical contractors, serving his time on site before joining Pinington in the late 90’s.

Nick Pinington

Project Director

Starting out as an apprentice joiner serving his apprenticeship with Pinington, Nick gained experience in joinery onsite as well as manufacturing within Pinington’s joinery workshop.
Nick moved into site management by completing various refurbishment projects on local council housing stock and various educational facilities progressing to larger projects having gained experience. Nick progressed to senior site manager before progressing to Project Director with the responsibility of ensuring projects are delivered safely to the required standard on time and within budget.

Jeremy Hackett

Financial Director

Jeremy started his career in construction during his placement year at University in 1995, after obtaining his degree and graduating from University he started full time employment with a local North West Construction company as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor.

Since joining Pinington Jeremy progressed to Managing Quantity Surveyor and was promoted to Financial Director in June 2016 overseeing all commercial aspects including surveying and estimating.

Peter Heskine

Commercial Director

Peter started his career with Pinington Ltd immediately after leaving Sixth Form and studied towards obtaining his HNC and Degree on a day release basis. Peter progressed his career working with Pinington Ltd on a day release basis on various different types of projects. Peter Graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in May 2010 obtaining an upper class Second Degree in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying and after stating as a Assistant Quantity Surveyor with Pinington in 2005 has worked up to a Quantity Surveyor then Commercial Manager and now Commercial Director of the company and is also at the forefront of the business development of the company.

Paul Waters

Contracts Director

Paul has over 35 years’ experience working in the construction industry. He started his employment with Pinington as an apprentice Plumbing and Heating Engineer before progressing into site management.  He has gained site experience in all sectors of the construction industry from Social Housing Refurbishment, Private Sector Housing, Educational Facilities and Commercial and industrial factory buildings.   Paul progressed to a Site Manager then to a Contracts Manager and now to Contracts Director after over 35 years service with the company.

Luke Sutcliffe

Services Director

Luke started his career as an apprentice Electrician at a large local electrical contractor and moved to Pinington in 2005.Luke started out as a site foreman gaining experience in all aspects of electrical work. Moving up into site and contract management on various large scale electrical contracts throughout the north west. Luke has now progressed to Services Manager and now Services Director and is responsible for both Mechanical and Electrical Contracts and Project Management within the company.

Jon Sharples

Quantity Surveyor

Jon started his career after graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University working for 2 years with a building contractor and a further 17 years with a large groundworks contractor in Cumbria. Jon joined the team at Pinington in June 2018.

Jon works at Pinington as a Quantity Surveyor working on varying schemes in terms of value sector of works. Jon is responsible for all aspects of Quantity Surveying on projects and also assist with estimating within the company as and when required.

Sam Ayrton

Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Sam started his career with Pinington Ltd in 2016 as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, working 2 days a week whilst attending Preston College doing a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Construction. Sam has also worked full time during any extended college holidays, which is commendable of him showing his dedication to both the company and his chosen career.

Immediately after leaving college, Sam is now focusing towards obtaining a Degree in Quantity Surveying at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) on a day release basis.

Jane Atkinson

Administrative Manager

Jane joined Pinington in 2014 after working for a smaller main building contractor in the North West for over 10 years on the administrative and accounts side of the business.

Jane is now responsible for the sub-contract verifications and payments along with payroll for directly employed staff and works closely with the Directors managing cashflow and all commercial aspects of the company.

Jessica Draper

Administrative Co-Ordinator

Jessica joined the team at Pinington in 2016 after a background in hospitality and healthcare.

Jessica very quickly integrated into her new role and is primarily responsible for the purchase ledger side of the accounts. Jessica is also responsible for the document management on all tenders and live projects,contract administration on live projects, compiling and issuing of operation and maintenance manuals upon completion of projects and managing and organising the staff training matrix on a regular basis.
