Excellent teamwork at RLI Ward 37 π
We were very please to get the amazing feedback from the ward manager:
βAnother special thank you to Gary the Pinington Site Manager and his sidekick . They ensured all those last min things were fixed including the missing locks and fitting the cupboard. They were happy to help and got things sorted as quickly as possible. β
As part of our ongoing Measured Term Contract with Morecambe Bay NHS Trust we were asked to undertake a full refurbishment to Ward 37 at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
The existing ward was decanted and moved to a separate ward within the hospital and a very tight timescale was put on the works due to the limited period the spare ward was available for. Therefore works had to be meticulously planned and programmed throughout the duration of the works to achieve the required end date.
The works on site included the removal of all existing finishes, fixtures and fittings and removal of existing M&E services. The new works consisted of fully refurbished 7 bedded bays, single bedrooms and circulation areas with new floor coverings, ceiling and decoration. New fitted furniture was installed to clean and dirty utilities, pantry, storage areas and existing staff kitchen. A new ward hub desk was installed within the main circulation area for staff to use as a central ward hub.
The M&E install was extensive with new ductwork and fire dampers with new control panels, re-wire of existing electrical circuits, LED lighting upgrade and new door access installed.
