As part of our ongoing national framework with the Caravan & Motorhome Club we were appointed to undertake and extensive refurbishment to the popular and expansive club site in West Ayton Scarborough.
The works were vast and included the demolition of the existing 2nr toilet blocks with new timber frame toilet blocks, formation of a covered games room, construction of a new wardens workshop, tractor store, bathroom, kitchen and garage, along with vast amounts of groundworks and formations of new pitches across the site.
The new timber framed toilet blocks included solar thermal, ventilation system, underfloor heating with tiled floors, PVC wall cladding with fully welded joints and an extensive fit out including cubicles, sanitaryware and FF&E equipment. The blocks had a central spine plantroom which housed all of the necessary plant along with external block paving and a above ground gas tank to serve the blocks.
The external site wide works were extensive with the formation / remodelling of 32nr serviced pitches to provide exclusive power, water, drainage and TV cabling, 11nr premium pitches which included exclusive power, water, drainage, TV cabling, brick built BBQ, benched seating area and privacy hedging between pitches and formation of 12nr standard hardstanding pitches. The facilitate these works extensive trenching was undertaken sitewide for the new drains and power cables along with the installation of 2nr new sewage pumping stations for the additional foul water.
From a recreational perspective a smaller aged play area was inserted along with a multi use games activity area with football, basketball and cricket facilities in the extension field.
The exciting reception building was fully refurbished to include a new CW, kitchen area and front of house counter and serving desk area for the booking in and serving of members prior to and during visits to site.
The final element of the works was a timber framed tractor store, workshop, covered store, kitchen and wardens bathroom with a single wardens bathroom and kitchen pod in a sperate compound for use whilst on site.
The works started in November 2021 and completed in August 2022 ready for the site to open in September 2022.
