The works comprised of the refurbishment and repair to the Old Fire Station at Windermere Jetty Museum; a timber framed structure and clad building with slate roof. The tower was fully removed to allow repair and extension of the concrete base and supplementary steelwork was added to provide structural stability. Great care was taken to ensure as much of the original timbers were retained and the tower structure re-erected back to its original design under the supervision of the structural engineer.

The project also included restoration and repair works to the Pavilion; a timber framed and clad building with fibre cement slate roof and the refurbishment of the hard and soft landscaping, which included a new waterproofing system to the model boating pond and weir.
