Pinington were appointed by the international company Victrex to provide two buildings on their chemical industrial site. The WAB building is a large machine shop with in house training and personnel facilities. The control building was a purpose built control room building, built solely for the purpose of controlling a multi-million pound investment the company had made in a new production plant. Both buildings were let under a single contract and were procured via Design and Build. The buildings were cited on extensive CFA piles, had structural steel frames and roof construction. The external walls were part cladding and traditional masonry construction.
This scheme along with others on the site we have completed were undertaken strictly in accordance with the clients strict on Site Health & Safety Polices. We as a company appointed a full time on site H&S Officer to oversee all our construction methods and activities.
