Pinington were appointed to undertake a complete new build phase 2 teaching facility for the food and farming department of Myerscough College after undertaking the first phase of the works.
The works involved the demolition of the existing animal holding buildings and removal of existing concrete slabs to facilitate the new build teaching block. The construction involved a steel frame with facing brickwork and a reconstituted slate roof finish to give an authentic farm building feel.
The building included various classrooms and lecture rooms, a fully functioning cratering kitchen, ICT suites disabled lift and offices.
The M&E installation on the project consisted of a new Biomass boiler, air handling plant, fully functioning cold room for food storage, induction loops to all classrooms and lecture rooms and full heating and lighting schemes.
Pinington were appointed to complete a complex and challenging refurbishment to a full teaching block at Barrow Sixth Form College.
