Carnforth Free Methodist Centre proved to be our second church / conference centre handover in January 2022. Again another project hampered and hamstrung by the Covid19 pandemic got off to a slow start however very quickly ramped up to provide a fantastic facility for all involved.
Our first involvement when tendering this project was to assist the client and design team in a drastic value engineering exercise to ensure the project was viable and could move forward to the build stage which was a real task however teamwork from all involved ensured the project progressed.
The facility now provides a large conference and worship space, catering kitchen, breakout spaces, various meeting rooms and offices, accessible and disabled shower, changing and toilet facilities, external car parking spaces, hard and soft landscaping along with providing renewable energy with the new heating system running from air source heat pumps.
Upon handover both the design team and client were extremely thankful to everyone involved in the Pinington team to get the project to where it is today and this feeling was reciprocated by Pinington with the design team based on the collaborative way the project was managed and administered.
