RICS Award for Hornby Village Institute Project

At last nights RICS North West Awards 2007, held in Manchester, Hornby Village Institute won in their category 'Community Benefit'.

Hornby Village Institute is owned and run by Hornby Village Trust (HVT) as a registered charity. The Trust has always pursued the objectives of the constitution - to provide facilities for recreation and other leisure activities for the inhabitants of the parish of Hornby-with-Farlton and the surrounding neighbourhood. Since the original Institute was completed in 1961 the aims have always been to promote and enrich the lives of the villagers and other local people on an inclusive basis. In short, to act as a vehicle for fostering and enhancing a sense of community values and to enable the various interests and activities to be carried out in a safe, comfortable and convivial environment.

The Project was Nominated by Architect:Harrison Pitt Architects (HPA) and Surveyor: Barry Philipson.

Present at last nights awards evening was Roger Carter and Alan Webster from HVT, Richard Wooldridge and Mike Norbury from HPA and our MD Mark Ayrton.
