History

Victor Pinington retired in 1975 and left Brian and David, his two sons to carry on and develop the business. In 1980 John Ayrton joined the business as quantity survey. As the business continued to grow in the early 1980s the company became a limited company in 1983 with Joan Pinington as Company Secretary.

During the early 1980s the company was involved in the refurbishment of council housing stock providing plumbing and heating services. With John Ayrton’s background being in construction the company moved into the construction sector tendering and succeeding in winning numerous projects refurbishing council housing stock. From this beginning the company has grown steadily ever since.

In 2004 Mark Ayrton, Steve Black, Nick Pinington and Tom Pinington joined the board of directors as the third generation of the family. In 2005 John Ayrton stood down as managing director and took semi retirement until finally in 2006 he fully retired.

David Pinington took up the role of managing director until his retirement in 2007 when the current managing director, Mark Ayrton, took up the role. Brian Pinington retired in 2009.
